I just had the completion of my thyroidectomy, I am 21 days away from my radio active treatment.
Good luck to you!
my mom was diagnosed of follicular thyroid cancer… and i was confused if it’s really a thyroid cancer cause the location of the tumor was on her head…
Great Video -I have thyroid carcinoma stage 3. I had surgery seven months ago and following the iodine 150mc of radiation. The treatment was not successful and the cancer was not removed. Im suppose to get a second surgery in April. I feel that the most important thing is your Thyroglobulin level this will tell you wheather you still have the cancer or not.
Cells are different/ adenomatoid nodule/ follicular neoplasm/6mm nows its 8mm and doc says it growing fast…..if he waits another two weeks then it will grow even more hes sooo slow!
second bi-opsy has been done to positive dia.
Thyroid is working normal….no family has this notta!
Question: You had to take two capsules? Couldnt be around nobody? Did you loose your hair/or teeth? Is this kind of treatment better than radiation?
I am glad you discovered the nodule and was able to get medical assistance on time. I dont think I would be in great shape if I wouldnt have told my family history to my doctor. I could not feel any nodule, no symptoms at all! Thanks to my doctor that had a sonogram done and thats how my nodules were detected. Thanks God for every day of life that we have…..Now we can appreciate it more….Enjoy your family and keep positive…..
I discovered my nodule mostly by accident and after surgery found out that it was follicular cancer with no spread. Had I have not found it, it would definitely have spread and most likely would have killed me. The moral of the story is, if you ever see something that looks a little odd, go to the doctor and find out what it is. Doing that saved my life, kept my son with a father, and is gracing me with another son this October. I take 1 pill a day and feel better than I have for years.
Thank you so much for posting this. My doctor discovery a nodule yesterday and next week I go in for an altrasound.
Thank you for posting this. I too had a large nodule and have a new one growing. I had the other one taking out . 3 months after surgery, I have this new one growing and they are watching this one. I want to hear how your scan goes in March.

Hi lgflorida, my name is Dexter from Manila, Philippines. Thanks for sharing this. My mom was diagnosed with thyroid cancer last week after her goiter surgery. She doesn’t know it yet. She’ll be going to the doctor today with my sister and the doctor will break the news to my mom. I was really worried until I saw your video. I think are really doing a noble deed of creating awareness. Thank you. I’m just hoping that the cancer has not spread out. I love my mom so much.

My TSH levels have been going up with the raise of Syntroid (200 mg), My doctor is having some blood work done. I faithfully take my pill every morning with an empty stomach. Its important to keep the TSH levels surpressed so that recurrence of cancer is low. There are many factors that can contribute that Syntroid does not surpress the TSH. Lets see.
Thank You! I am scheduled the beginning of March for the Pet Scan and TG levels. I hope the best with you also. Hang in and take one day at a time…….TKS
I just wanted to tell you thank you for posting your experience for us to see.
I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer on January 7, 2009 and had a total thyroidectomy on the 16th. Please let me know how your next pet scan goes.
thanks for the info god bless yu and i wish yu all the best in march
I am sorry about the news. I know exactly how you must be feeling. Its normal to feel emotionally low after such news. My best advise is to educate yourself with this condition and get involved with Thyroid Cancer Support groups. This is what has helped me. In February you will have your surgery and I will have my full body scan to know if I am Cancer free. Its long wait but we have to keep positive and take one day at a time. I know you can go thru this and email me your progress. TKS
